Hall Green 'B' gained their first win of the season in the Premier Division, with a 6-4 win at fellow strugglers Broadway.  Barry Clarke and Bob Allcock won two singles each for Green and combined for a remarkable 11-9 in the fifth doubles victory over Carl Morgan and Locksley Brown.  Morgan, the former Jamaican No 1, won his three singles with ease as usual, but this was still a great performance from Green.  Green had previously put up a brave performance at Kingshurst Bribar 'B', going down 6-4.  Tony Carter was unbeaten for Kings, who included youngster Perry Nash, who showed rich promise, which included a win over Milner Harris.  Kingshurst 'A' hammered Hall Green 'B' 9-1, with maximums from Scott Prime and Chris Leach.  Steve Taylor was in great form for Streetly 'A'. in their 7-3 win at Kingshurst 'C'.  Maximums from Ian Ferguson and Sasha Grokhotov for Curdworth in their 9-1 demolition of Kingshurst Bribar 'C'.

Sutton 'A' had mixed fortunes in Division One.  Graham Williams and Clive Stretton were too good for Colebridge Giants in a 9-1 success, which followed a 6-4 defeat for the promotion hopefuls at Bournville 'A'.  Bhavesh Amlani picked up a treble for Bournville, who were indebted to an 11-9 in the fifth win for Les Minott over Stretton.  Bournville lost 6-4 at West Midlands Police 'A', despite another magnificent unbeaten display from Amlani.  Dave Linz of Jacombs 'A' showed his best form of the season, with a maximum in the 6-4 defeat of Sandwell Unison.

Hall Green 'D' went 6-0 up at home to Colebridge Falcons in Division Two, but the visitors roared back to respectability, picking up the last four sets.  George Webb of Sutton 'C' was unbeaten at Beaufort Sports 'B', but received little support in a 6-4 reverse.  Hall Green 'C' continue in fine form, as a smart treble from Ian Scott, which included five game victories over both Ken Lancaster and Howard Knight, helped them to an 8-2 success.

Beaufort Sports 'C' crushed Walmley 'C' 9-1 in Division Three, as Ash Kapadia and Ray Cobley picked up trebles.  West Midland Phones enjoyed a hard fought 6-4 victory at Bournville 'B', Colin Platt unbeaten for Phones.

Jorden Colen and Shane Gales gained maximums, as the youngsters of Streetly 'C', demolished Jacombs 'B' 9-1, in Division Four.  Farhan Petkar and Steve Bailey did likewise for Sutton 'F' against Streetly 'D', in a 7-3 triumph.

Alan Buttle had three wins for Colebridge Indians against Sutton 'H' in Division Five, but the veteran penholder could not inspire his team as they went down 7-3.  Jim Ferguson proved to be the difference between the teams, as Baverstock 'C' beat Ivy Leaf 'B' 6-4.
