Andy Evans earned West Midlands Phones 'A' a shock 5-5 draw against Colebridge Aces in the Premier Division.  He beat both Ray Dixon and Pete Roddy in the deciding game and Mick Kendall in four. Tim Freeman had an incredible 24-22 win in the fifth against Roddy, to earn a share of the spoils.  Aces had previously crushed Kingshurst Bribar 'C' 9-1, with trebles from Dixon, Roddy and Neil Wheatley. Beaufort Sports 'A' gained a rare victory, with a 6-4 success over Bournville 'A', thanks to a maximum from the in form Jon Ludlow.  Steve Taylor and Terry Cooper were both unbeaten as Streetly 'A' won 7-3 at home to Kingshurst Bribar 'C'.


Hall Green 'B' march on at the top in  Division One, with an 8-2 mauling of nearest rivals Colebridge Eagles, via a  majestic triple from John Ludford.  Dave Linz led Jacombs 'A' to a 6-4 win at Colebridge Giants, to improve their survival prospects. Kingshurst Bribar 'D' won a hard fought encounter 6-4 against Sutton 'B', although Nabil Khalfey included a win over fellow individual hopeful Roger Morris, in his three victories for Sutton.  Khalfey was again unbeaten, in the 5-5 draw with Sandwell Unison.


Walmley 'A' and Land Rover 'C' drew 5-5 in  Division Two, with Rover's Roger Townson gaining a treble.  Bob Findlay of Walmley edged out Chris Allen 13-11  in the fifth in an exciting finish.  Colebridge Falcons and Streetly 'B' also ended 5-5, with Davd Bissell of Streetly gaining a maximum.


Beaufort Sports 'B' stay in the hunt for Division Three honours in a 7-3 success over West Midlands Phones 'B', with big hitting Rob Sheldon blasting his way to another treble.  Darren Williams led Bournville 'B' to a 6-4 victory at Walmley 'B'.


Beaufort Sports 'C' thumped Streetly 'C' 9-1 in Division Four, which included maximums for Ash Kapadia and Ron Kite and followed up with a 10-0 at Kingshurst Bribar 'B'.  Bob Hawthorne continued his fine form for Walmley 'C', in a 7-3 away win at Baverstock 'A'.  Quinborne 'B' edged Jacombs 'B' 6-4, with a David Ranford hat-trick and a crucial doubles win for Ranford and Huw Williams against the Robert Spiers/Howard Lewis combination.


Tony Badham inflicted a rare defeat on Ron Fraser as his team Streetly 'D' beat West Midlands Police 6-4 in Division Five, this followed another Badham treble in the 7-3 success at Baverstock 'B'.  Land Rover 'F' and Sutton 'G' drew 5-5, with Tim Bellamy in excellent form for the home side, while Mark Cohen led Lodge Road  to a 6-4 win at Beaufort Sports 'D'.
