Curdworth inflicted a 9-1 defeat on Broadway, in the Premier Division.  Phil Burwell had a fine win over Broadway’s Birmingham Veteran star Steve Robinson, but the match was marred, with the home side fielding just two players.  John Ludford enjoyed his first maximum in the section, as Hall Green ‘B’ just edged Kingshurst Bribar ‘C’ 6-4.  Edward Lynn and Pete Roddy, were maximum men for Colebridge Aces, at Hall Green ‘A’ in a 9-1 result.


Sutton Coldfield ‘B’ and West Midlands Police ‘A’ march on in Division One, with both sides winning.  Nabil Khalfey reeled off yet another hat-trick for Sutton, in their 6-4 success at Sandwell Unison, while Dave Ameghino and Paul DuCros did likewise for Police, in their 7-3 win at F.Jacombs ‘A’.  Jacombs improved their survival hopes, with a 5-5 draw with Kingshurst Bribar ‘D’.  Paul Hancox of King’s, was Man of the Match in this encounter.  King’s hammered Colebridge Giants 8-2, as Hancox and Roger Morris, proved a class above their Shirley opponents.  Sutton ‘A’ kept up their slim promotion hopes, with an easy 8-2 success at Colebridge Eagles.  Mark Hadley drew first blood for Eagles against Graham Williams, but after that it was one-way traffic for Sutton, who had both Clive Stretton and Andy Choi unbeaten.   Bhavesh Amlani won three for Bournville ‘A’ in their 5-5 draw with Quinborne.


Smithereens are still going great guns in Division Two and have the champagne on ice, after a 9-1 thrashing of Streetly ‘B’.  Steve Smith and Simon Bailey both gained maximums for Smithereens.  Hall Green ‘D’ were given a stern test at Colebridge Hawks, just getting home 6-4.  Hall Green ‘C’ suffered a blow to their hopes, after  a 6-4 reverse at Beaufort Sports ‘B’, despite a superb treble from Ian Scott.

 
Newcomer Peter Kirkham, snatched a share of the spoils for Hall Green 'E' at Bournville 'B' in Division Three, with an 11-8 in the fifth defeat of the talented Darren Williams.  Ian Anson and Scott Danter were both unbeaten for Baverstock 'A', in their clash with Bournville 'C', in an 8-2 success.  West Midland Phones, also had a crushing 9-1 victory, over Walmley 'A', as Colin Platt and Zac Dixon both had trebles.

 
Jim Ferguson notched a hat-trick for Baverstock 'C', as his side swept aside Team SCC 8-2, in Division Five.  Ron Fraser of West Midlands Police ''B', the leading player in the section, suffered an unprecedented triple defeat against top side Colebridge Jaguars.  Fadi Ezaddin, Tim Fell and Len Sutton all gained maximums in a 9-1 victory.
