Buster Cobley made his debut for Kingshurst Bribar 'A', in the Premier Division, in the clash with Streetly 'A'. The youngster is highly rated by his coach Simon Upson and with the league title in the bag this was an ideal time to give him his first outing in the top section. Mike Browne and Scott Prime were both unbeaten for Kings in an 8-2 success and although it was a huge step up in standard for Cobley, he acquitted himself well without registering a victory. Streetly are still not safe from relegation, after their 6-4 reverse to Broadway, who again included both Steve Robinson and the unplayable Carl Morgan. Ian Ferguson and Sasha Grokhotov both picked up maximums for Curdworth, in the 8-2 mauling of Hall Green 'A', as did Edward Lynn and Mohammad Khalid, of Colebridge Aces, in the 9-1 thumping of Hall Green 'B'. Karl Manning had last game victories over both John Ludlow and Harry Sideras, which ensured a 6-4 victory for Kingshurst Bribar 'B' over Beaufort Sports 'A'.
Sutton Coldfield 'B' are virtually assured of promotion from Division One, following their 6-4 win at Colebridge Giants. Nabil Khalfey was in top form for Sutton 'B', but it was a 13-11 in the fifth success for Colin Cleverley against Brian Morris of the home side, that was the crucial factor. Quinborne had a shock 6-4 win at Sutton 'B', thanks to a fine team effort from Glen Whitlock, Dan Ranford and Dave Freeman.
West Midlands Police 'A' go marching on, with Dave Ameghino notching up a hat-trick in the 8-2 blitz of struggling Colebridge Eagles. Bournville 'A' and Sandwell Unison drew 5-5, with Bhavesh Amlani of Bournville the only unbeaten player, although Brian Morris took him to 12-10 in the decider.
Ian Scott continued his excellent campaign for Hall Green 'C' in Division Two, with another maximum, in the 8-2 defeat of Sutton 'C'. Pete Worship and Andy Nicholl were far too good for doomed Colebridge Hawks, in a 9-1 hammering. Colebridge Falcons had a comfortable 7-3 success over Streetly 'B', with defensive ace John Cox beating Graham Fleet 11-6 in the fifth, amongst his three wins.
Paul Thomas was unbeaten for Ivy Leaf 'A' at Hall Green 'E' in Division Three in a
5-5 draw. Ivy Leaf had previously beaten Walmley 'B' 7-3, with Thomas joined by Tony Arends as a maximum man. Dave Lyne, Colin Platt and Zac Dixon of West Midland Phones, enjoyed a 10-0 victory at Bournville 'C'.
Walmley 'C' were also 10-0 winners against Lodge Road in Division Four, although Stan Willis was 5-0 to Alton Burnett in the decider, before succeeding. Tim Stevens was the Walmley star in the 7-3 success over F.Jacombs 'B', despite Robert Spiers taking him the distance.
Colebridge Indians had their best win of the season, in an 8-2 win over Jacombs 'C', as pen holder Alan Buttle registered a hat-trick. The Kingshurst Bribar 'G' youngsters thumped Ivy Leaf 'B' 8-2, as Mitchell and Perry Nash and Tom Moy again showed their rich promise.
