Colebridge Aces maintained their 100 per cent record in the Premier Division of the Birmingham League, with a crushing 8-2 defeat of Bournville 'A'.  Ray Dixon remains undefeated, but Neil Wheatley lost his first match of the campaign to Bhavesh Amlani, by the incredible score of 20-18 in the fifth.  Champions Kingshurst Bribar 'A' put out the big guns of Scott Prime, Steve Bertie and Michael Browne at Beaufort Sports 'A' and they duly obliged with a 9-1 success.

 

Kingshurst Bribar "D' have got their season back on track after a poor start in Division One, with their latest victory being a fine 7-3 defeat of Sutton 'A', Roger Ellerington and Roger Morris both gaining maximums.  Land Rover 'B' and Colebridge Eagles drew 5-5, while runaway leaders Hall Green 'B' demolished their 'A' side 9-1.

 

Paul Thomas had a stunning victory over Dan Ranford for Land Rover 'D' in their Division Two clash, but trebles from Glenn Whitlock and Dave Freeman  produced a 9-1 score-line.  Bob Findlay won three in style for Walmley 'A' in their 5-5 draw with Smithereens, beating both Brian Pynor and Norman Harvey by the narrowest of margins in the final game.  Land Rover 'C' edged their 'D' side 6-4, thanks to a final set win from Roger Townson over Tony Arends at 11-5 in the decider.

 

Bernard Oliver and Yaj Ghosh showed no mercy for Hall Green 'C' in Division Three against their 'D' side, with maximums in an 8-2 result.  Bournville 'C' reeled off the last five sets to gain a 7-3 victory at Land Rover 'E', as Steve Atkinson and Bruce Barrett were unbeaten, both beating high flier John Dineen in the fifth.  George Webb is flying for Sutton 'E' and won three again against Walmley 'B' in an 8-2 thumping.

 

James Watts proved his potential for Kingshurst Bribar 'E', against visitors Sutton 'F', with a maximum in a 5-5 draw in Division Four.  Youngster Watts followed this up with another treble in the 7-3 success at Quinborne 'B'.  Walmley 'C' just got the better of Hall Green 'E' by a 6-4 margin, as Bob Hawthorne showed his best form of the season.  Beaufort Sports 'C' keep on the promotion trail winning at Hall Green 'E', with the impressive Ash Kapadia and Ray Cobley undefeated.

 

Jim Ferguson was outstanding for Baverstock 'B', as they hammered Kingshurst Bribar 'F' to the tune of 8-2 in Division Five.  Lodge Road took a blow to their promotion hopes, going down 6-4 at home to West Midlands Police, for whom Ron Fraser gained his usual maximum.  Streetly 'D' and Sutton 'G' drew 5-5, while the 'youngsters' of Land Rover 'F' beat Jacombs 'C' 7-3.
