Alan Caffery notched an impressive maximum for Smiths Wood Bribar A, in their 8-2 victory over their B side, in Division One.  He received excellent support from both Alasdhair Broadbent and Tony Carter, although Helen Turner was in fine form for the B side, including a 12-10 in the fifth success over Broadbent, in her two singles wins.

Sutton Coldfield A won 6-4 at Colebridge B, despite an emphatic maximum for Dean Hicks.  Fadi Ezaddin, who only took up the sport just over a year ago, gained his first victory in the top flight over Sutton’s Graham Williams.  A brace each from George Webb and Andy Choi, saw Sutton home.

Newcomer Paul Adams also registered two singles wins for Smithereens.  Promotion favourites Beaufort Sports ‘A’ crushed Sutton D 9-1, with maximums from both Jon Ludlow and Alan Thompson.  Bournville just edged West Midlands Police B 6-4, as Martin Clayton registered a rare treble.

 
Smiths Wood Bribar C drew 5-5 with Streetly B in Division Three, with Streetly youngster Shane Gales, the only unbeaten player.  Sutton E showed no mercy to their F side, with Alan Healey, Derek Ellis and Derek Turner, registering an emphatic 10-0 mauling.  John Harrison won three singles for Baverstock A, in their 8-2 defeat of their B side.

 
Beaufort Sports B crushed Smiths Wood Bribar D 9-1 in Division Four, as Rob Rowson and Ron Kite, both put in impressive displays.  Monarch won their first match in the competition, beating Sutton G 6-4, although Sohail Alishaan was unbeaten for Sutton.  Steve Wright, James Bruce and Chris Ward, put in a fine team display, to give Monarch their win.  Baverstock C and Lodge Road drew 5-5, with Stefan Brown unbeaten for Baverstock.
